Machine translation post-editing (MTPE) is a task I personally enjoy. Generative AI systems cannot reason. They do not think. Machine translation tools are limited in this way as well. Consequently, they often fail to accurately convey the same meaning of idiomatic expressions, slang, or creative content when translating from one language to another.
